We require full payment at the time of booking to secure your consultation.

Blood Tests
After your initial assessment, you will need to have blood tests, and the results will be used to formulate your individualised BHRT treatment plan.
You may also require blood tests at other times, either to monitor progress or if your treatment plan needs to be changed.
If you intend for your GP to perform the blood tests, please ensure they will do them all as not every NHS GP will do all tests we require as standard.
Once payment for the blood tests has been made, a test kit will be delivered to your address including prepaid postage for the return.
Your blood then must be taken by a phlebotomist and for a small fee you can attend your local NHS hospital. The Hormone Clinic has access to a phlebotomy service across the UK. To find your nearest Superdrug Clinic and book your appointment, click here.

Alternatively, it is possible to attend The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) (venipuncture) service in London.
You will need to pack the blood samples in the prepaid envelope and post them back to the lab. Your results will then be available between 7 and 10 days.

1. Female hormone profile – FSH, Oestradiol, Progesterone, DHEA, free Testosterone & Vitamin D

If other blood tests are required, these will be discussed with you at the time of your initial assessment.
Other Tests
It may also be necessary to have other tests depending on your symptoms and blood test results. We work with trusted partners who can provide them, and we will advise you of these tests if required.

Repeat Prescription Service – £40
This is for existing patients who have already been seen by The Hormone Clinic for at least 12 months and do not wish to change their current treatment plan. You must have a future booking with The Hormone Clinic.

A 45-minute consultation via the telephone or video. The doctor will advise on diagnosis, supplementation, lifestyle changes and recommend specific investigations tailored to symptoms.
24 Hours Later
A team member will contact you to arrange blood tests and discuss your review appointment.
1-6 Weeks Later - Review Appointment
To review blood results as well as discuss and implement personalised treatment plan. The doctor will prepare your prescription.
6 Weeks Later - Review Appointment
To review that you have tolerated medication and are starting to notice improvement in symptoms.
6 weeks Later - Review Appointment
To review progress and decide if changes to medication needs to be made.
Blood Tests
10 days before the next appointment to ensure results are ready.
3 Months later- Review Appointment
To review the blood tests and symptoms to decide if changes to the medication need to be made.
Every 6 to 12 Months
If symptoms have stabilised the doctor will recommend regular reviews 6 monthly or annually with appropriate blood and screening tests.
