Do you feel extremely low, irritable, anxious and emotional in the week (or so) leading to your period? Is it sometimes so bad you have thoughts of harming yourself or ending your life? Do you also have debilitating physical symptoms such as bloating, weight gain, sugar craving, migraines and night sweats at this time? PMS and PMDD is a serious condition that can be utterly relentless, exhausting and you may feel like there is nowhere to turn. At The Hormone Clinic, we experience very good results using BHRT to get your hormones back in balance. Make an appointment in our PMS treatment clinic to discuss your symptoms as we really can help.

3. Prepare your prescription for BHRT.
What makes us different from other hormone clinics?
Our doctors at The hormone Clinic are also experts in psychiatry and therefore understand the close link between an imbalance or fluctuation in hormones with mental and physical health. Our award-winning combination of both medical and psychiatric expertise offers you a more supportive, holistic, and total well-being solution.
All of our consultations are online, making our doctors available at times to suit you.
Historically, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) contained synthetic hormones, non-identical in structure to hormones in the body which often caused side effects.
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is an alternative treatment which uses natural hormones identical in structure to the hormones produced in the body. They tend to be associated with fewer side effects and can be very effective at enhancing well being and slowing aging.
BHRT is a treatment that includes body identical and bioidentical hormones. The Hormone Clinic prescribes both depending on symptoms or individual choice.
Body identical hormones are licenced, regulated, and produced by pharmaceutical companies in set doses. They are available on the NHS and can be very effective for some patients. However, they do not suit everyone being more of a “one size fits all” approach.
Bioidentical hormones are prescribed by skilled hormone specialists in a bespoke formulation. They can be tailored to individual needs at the exact dose and multiple hormones can be combined into one. They can be given through the skin or mouth and come in creams, capsules and lozenges. according to individual needs.
